Dr. Tim Ridgway, Dean of the Sanford School of Medicine at USD and Dr. Lori Hansen, Dean of Medical Student Affairs at Sanford School of Medicine at USD, and Pulmonologist with Yankton Medical Clinic, P.C., recently presented Dr. April Willman, FAAP, Pediatrics, Yankton Medical Clinic, P.C., the Dr. Charley F. and Elizabeth Gutch Chair in Medicine award effective July 2024 through June 2027. Dr. Willman currently serves as Associate Dean of the Yankton Campus and Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics.

Dr. Willman embodies many of the qualities Dr. Gutch stood for,” said Dr. Ridgway “She is an accomplished physician and academic leader of the Yankton campus and is truly dedicated to the success of the school of medicine. Dr. Willman, like Dr. Gutch, is committed to excellence in all she does. She is most deserving of this honor.”
